# ORCA Computing Tests Photonic Quantum Systems in Live Data Center
ORCA Computing is bringing its quantum technology to Digital Realty’s new Innovation Lab in London, marking a significant step toward practical quantum deployment. The facility allows companies to trial emerging quantum and AI technologies in actual operational conditions before rolling them out company-wide—reducing risk and speeding up adoption across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
ORCA’s PT Series systems use photonics (light-based quantum processing) rather than traditional approaches, and notably don’t require specialized cooling infrastructure. This allows the quantum hardware to operate seamlessly alongside existing AI and high-performance computing systems already present in enterprise data centers.
