# Atom Computing and Nu Quantum Team Up to Scale Quantum Systems
Two quantum leaders are joining forces to tackle a critical challenge: connecting multiple quantum processors into practical, large-scale systems. Atom Computing, known for its neutral-atom quantum computers, has partnered with Nu Quantum, a specialist in quantum networking hardware, under a memorandum of understanding.
The collaboration will integrate Atom’s quantum processors with Nu Quantum’s photonic networking technology—essentially using light-based switches to link quantum machines together. The teams plan to develop qubit-photon entanglement systems and distributed fault-tolerant architectures, which are essential for building quantum computers capable of handling real-world problems reliably.
This partnership combines complementary strengths: Atom Computing’s recent breakthroughs in quantum error correction and a $100 million U.S. Department of Commerce commitment, paired with Nu Quantum’s record $60 million Series A funding and photonic expertise. Together, they’re positioning the industry to move beyond research labs toward commercially viable quantum computing.
